From Madrid airport to Salamanca
You can travel from Madrid to Salamanca by train or by bus. From the airport to 2 stations you can get the tube, but if you have a lot of luggage it is better to go by taxi.
ARRIVAL FROM MADRID
Barajas International Airport in Madrid is around 220 km away from Salamanca. From there students can travel to downtown Madrid by subway (around 1, 10 euros), on the Iberia bus, or by taxi (about 18 euros).
From Madrid to Salamanca, the trip can either be made by bus (Auto-Res, Estación Sur, Telephone (34) 91 551 72 00, with 15 trips a day, from 7 a.m. to 9.30 p.m., or by train (Estación de Chamartín, Avenida Pío XII, s/n, Telephone (34) 91 563 02 02).
From Madrid’s Airport to City Centre:
SUBWAY (opens from 6.00 am to 1145 pm): Line 8
If you plan to come by bus you?ll have to change Line 8 in Nuevos Ministerios for Line 6 (grey line) and stop at Mendez Alvaro. La Estación Sur (Bus Station) is next to the subway.
If you are coming by train, after arriving in Nuevos Ministerios look for Line 10 (Dark Blue) to Fuencarral and stop at CHAMARTIN train station.

TAXI
Ask the cab driver for CHAMART?N STATION if you are coming by train or CONDE DE CASAL if you choose the bus. Ask for the price in advance, it should be around 25-30 Euros. Do not trust non-professional cab drivers. Taxis are available 24 hours a day
BUS LINE
(operates from 4.45 am to 1.30 am): Line 89
If you are staying in Madrid, from the airport terminal you can take a bus to Madrid City Center. The bus terminates at Plaza de Colón, from there you can take the subway. It costs around 3 Euros.
??ATTENTION: Please be sure to keep an eye on your luggage during your whole trip!!
How to get to Salamanca
By bus (From La Estación Sur)
There are buses every 30 minutes from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Express buses take around 2.30 hours to get to Salamanca and tickets cost approximately 15 euros (one way). Normal buses take 3.30 hours and cost around 10 euros (one way).

From Valladolid airport to Salamanca
From Valladolid airport you can go to Salamanca by bus or by train:
By Bus
There are busses going to Salamanca directly from the airport of Salamanca, but some only go from the city centre. To get to the city centre you can take a bus or a taxi. For more information about the busses you can visit the website: www.auto-res.net.
By Train
If you want to go to Salamanca by train you have to go to the train station in Valladolid. For more information about the trains you can visit the website: www.renfe.es.
